A man who stabbed his accountant wife to death a day after he discovered she was having an affair with their joiner has been jailed for life.
Father-of-two Stuart Gallear, 51, knifed his wife Mandy three times after she told him she was leaving him for handyman Mark Prescott and said: 'I love him more than you.'
As she fought for her life with fatal wounds, Mrs Gallear, 41, pleaded with her husband: 'What are you doing? I still love you' before collapsing on their kitchen floor. He rang for an ambulance but Mrs Gallear was pronounced dead in hospital.
Gallear, who worked as a manager at a warehouse in Wigan, Greater Manchester, later admitted stabbing his wife - but he denied murder claiming diminished responsibility.
In a joint victim impact statement, her sister, Adele Ingham, and brother Andrew Ingham said they have lost their 'beloved' sibling and that her death has had a 'devastating' impact uponthe family.
In the statement, they said their world has been 'turned upside down' and that the family 'misses her every day'.
It reads: 'The death of our sister Mandy has had a devastating affect upon both of us. We have lost our beloved sister.
'The devastation has impacted greatly upon my two nieces.
