Do our votes actually count?

Do our votes as electorate actually count, I keep pondering on this question seeing the recent trend of our politicians defecting from political parties to another with no regards for the electorate opinion, all for their selfish political interest.

These politicians who are at the helm of affairs have kept blind eyes to their failed campaign promises, neglecting the people who has elected them into various positions, looting public funds with the aim of impoverishing the masses.

They are considered Demi God because of their ill gotten wealth but they have failed to listen to the groaning of the people, all they do is to raise allegations and counter allegations against their political opponent in other to get  public sympathy.

I'm tired of this trend and I believe I am not just only speaking for myself but for the people who voted for these leaders in order to get good road but they don't, better healthcare, creating job employment, and their proper welfare and nothing has been done in that regard.

My advice is this, we as an individual once we get the slimest opportunity to vote we shouldn't consider the political parties nor centiment or tribe because that has been their antic that has deluded us in the time past.

When voting consider the track records of these candidates, get to know their profile, their integrity level and their leadership skills and experience , a good leader can come from anywhere. this will help to curb the rate of incompetent people in leadership structure.
