Real Madrid sacks Manager after a shameful loss to FC Barcelona

European champions Real Madrid have decided to part ways with manager Julen Lopetegui, a day after the club were thrashed 5-1 by arch rivals Barcelona.

Lopetegui has been in charge since the start of the season but has overseen a terrible start to the league which sees them languish at the ninth spot.

Real Madrid Castilla coach and former player Santiago Solari will take charge of the team for the time being.

Real Madrid's statement says the decision has been taken "in a bid to change the run of results that the team was in, with all the team's season objectives still possible."

Davido react to fans who asked him of his private jet

After an impressive show in Mayotte yesterday by Davido, he was expected to hit Kenya where his fans were waiting to see him perform, but that didn't happened for reason of flight issues.

This raises dust on the internet when one of his fan asked of his private jet he was bragging about few months ago in an attempt to break the internet where he  announced that he had gotten himself a N9billion private Jet, a customized one at that.

Since none of us have seen him fly with it, the one we've been seeing is owned by his father.

Now, the singer who's was booked to arrive Nairobi yesterday, made a post that he was having flight issues and made a reply to his fan who asked of his private jet saying he has to use commercial flight because his dad was using his acclaimed private jet.

Have you ever tried preparing bole (roasted plantain)  at home but end up with a futile result.

All that will be in the past now as I share with you a very easy method of having your roasted plantain well grilled using a gas cooker or kerosene stove.

1. Firstly peel out the unwanted part of the plantain using a knife.

3. Wrap the already peeled plantain in a foil.

3. After about 10-15 minutes, take off the plantatian from your gas cooker and remove the foil wrap from it.
Boom your Bole is ready, waiting to be crushed with your freshly prepared sauce as this below.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the most followed person on Instagram

Five-time world footballer of the year Cristiano Ronaldo became the most followed person on Instagram on Monday 29th September 2018.

The former Real Madrid game maker and  Juventus forward surpassed American actress and pop star Selena Gomez, who has held the title since 2016.

Gomez, 26, overtook Ariana Grande two years ago in a list which is dominated by stateside entertainment stars.

But Ronaldo, who at the time of writing has over 144 million followers, has cemented his status as one of the most recognisable figures on the planet.

The Portugal international marked the news in relatively modest circumstances, with an image of him in the gym.

The development comes just months after he swapped Real Madrid for Juventus in a deal worth €100 million (£88.93m/$114m).

Ronaldo has already registered seven goals and four assists in 10 Serie A outings for a Juve side who are already six free at the top of the table.

Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is the next highest sportsperson in 10th position with 104m followers.

Reality television personality Kim Kardashian, pop superstar Beyonce, actor and wrestler Dwayne Johnson, Kylie Jenner and singer Taylor Swift complete the top 10.

Negative effects of street hawking in our society

Street hawking has become a vice in our society today which poses threat to the moral standard of children involved in it.

Though one of the major reason of street hawking is due to lack of employment which has become a means to earn a living by so many individuals in the society today but that doesn't outweigh it dangers in the society.

Some of it dangers as I highlight are

1. It exposes children who are not well mentally and physically mature to a life they didn't bargain for as most of them are been exploited and raped.

2. Most of the victims of street hawking who predominantly children are denied better education because of they are always on street hawking when they are supposed to be in the classroom studying.

3. Statistics has shown that most children involved in street hawking lacks better parental care as this leads to societal breakdown because some of them tend to take to violence, stealing and prostitution.

4. Street hawking keeps a city or town untidy with a very bizzare sight as most of them are seen on the ever busy roads and street loitering about.

Street hawking also poses great threat to the hawkers themselves as not quite long I saw an awkward sight of one of them been knock down by a vehicle while running on a road to meet up a bus to sell to a customer.

Indeed street hawking should be discouraged in a sane society as the practice endangers lives, causes increase in child molestation, increase of rape cases,

Some of the ways to proffer solution to this nefarious act is to

1. The government should pass it into law to arrest any parents who child is involved in it and should be fine accordingly.

2. Some of the street hawkers complains of not having a good market place and cost of rentage , so I also urge government to build more markets with lots of side attraction at an affordable price to encourage this street hawkers to leave the street.

3. The kind payment for these shop rentage should be installement maybe within the period of six(6) months or a year to complete payment.

4. I also plead with the government to also give free education with better learning standard as this will also discourage most parents of sending their wards to the street to hawk instead to the school since it is free.

5. The government should be made to pass a law against street hawking and also there should be proper supervising council or body to arrest and prosecute anyone who found wanting.

6. More employment opportunities should be created to enhance the standard of living and also discouraging street hawking.

There should be a campaign against it to sensitize the general public about the hazards caused by street hawking.

China to launch an artificial moon to light up city.

A city in China is planning to launch an ‘artificial moon’ that will light up the skies as far as 50 miles around.

The so-called illumination satellite set to deploy over the southwestern city of Chengdu in 2020 is touted to be eight times as bright as the real moon, to cast a ‘dusk-like glow’ over the region, according to the People’s Daily.

Officials have released few details on the project.
Wu Chunfend, chairman of Chengdu Aerospace Science and Technology Microelectronics System Research Institute Co., Ltd, revealed the plan at an event in the city in October, People’s Daily reports.

It will complement the moon to make Chengu’s night skies brighter when it launches in 2020, potentially serving as a replacement to conventional streetlights.

Senate ask CBN to suspend ATM card maintenance charges

The Senate has ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to look into the suspension of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) maintenance and withdrawal charges by banks.

This was after a motion on "illicit and excessive charges by Nigerian banks in customers accounts" was raised by Senator Gbenga Ashafa during the plenary session on Wednesday.

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu seconded the motion, saying: "The ATM charge is not the only charge we get from the bank, there are VAT charges and so on; this is unacceptable. We have the Customer Protection Agency in Nigeria, but they are not living up to expectations."

The issue generated much debate on the floor of the Senate and after much deliberations, a few resolutions were made.

The Senate directed the committees on banking insurance and other financial institutions and finance to conduct an investigation into the propriety of ATM card maintenance charges in comparison with international best practices and report back to the Senate.

It also mandated the committees on banking, insurance and other financial institutions and finance to invite the CBN Governor to appear before the body in order to explain why the official charges as approved by the CBN are skewed in favour of the banking institutions as against the ordinary customers of the banks.

The lawmakers told
CBN to suspend the ATM card maintenance charges being deducted from customers accounts, just as they called on the CBN to instruct the commercial banks to configure their machines to extend to N40,000 per withdrawal, pending the outcome of the investigation by the committees.

The Consumer Protection Council was called upon to be up and doing in taking up the plight of ordinary Nigerians by looking into the various complaints of excess and unnecessary charges by Nigerian banks.

Reasons why Ben Bruce Withraw his second term ambition to the Senate

Senator Ben Murray Bruce, popularly known as the common sense Senator has withdrawn his ambition to return to the Senate for a second term in 2019.

The Senator abandoned his ambition to represent the Bayelsa East Senatorial District due to the widespread rejection of his candidature by the stakeholders of the district.

In a letter written on the eve of the senatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bruce thanked his district for giving him the opportunity to serve.

The letter said: “I thank God and the good people of Brass, Bayelsa East Senatorial District who offered me the golden opportunity four years ago to represent them and the state in the Senate, Nigeria’s highest lawmaking chamber.

“It is without doubt that I have tried to discharge my duties as a legislator and representative of my people creditably to the best of my ability so far.

“My voice has been very loud on the issues that matter to our people and our country at all time.

“My support to our party, my people and state government is unquestionable. I am humbled that the national leadership of my party supported by the State chapter in appreciation of my efforts offered to support my reelection to the senate to continue my service.

“I have also intensified consultations in the last couple of week in the course of which I have come to realise an existing local rotational arrangement of over 20 years beginning with the late Great Chief Melford Okilo, by which arrangement the Senatorial seat rotates per local government area among the three councils for four years in the Senatorial District.

“Even with the support of my party at the national and state levels with the full backing of my state government and leadership, as a man of honour interested in the well being of my people, I hereby announce my withdrawal from the Senatorial race.

“I do not want whatever reason to appear to have used my privileged position and influence to do anything that other than the well-being and the stability and the good of the people.

“I am in all of these for the people, not for my self.”
