Buhari's China Trip is to Plot Rigging 2019

Press release
31/8/2018

Buhari's China Trip is to Plot Rigging of 2019 elections, Saraki’s Removal, alleges Timi Frank

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has faulted a trip to China on Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari and his party men under the guise of participating in the 7th Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Frank in a statement in Abuja described the trip as a decoy to plot how to rig the 2019 general elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and also perfect the renewed plot to remove the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

He insisted that the President has once again demonstrated his intolerance for members of the opposition political parties by only selecting APC Governors and other party cronies for the trip instead of availing competent businessmen and women of the opportunity to attend the FOCAC Summit irrespective of their party affiliations.

Recall that the Presidency had on Thursday released names of APC Governors, Senators and cabinet members who will be on the President’s entourage to include Governors Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Akinwunmi Ambode, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar and Rochas Anayo Okorocha of Bauchi, Lagos, Jigawa and Imo States respectively.

Others are Senators Abdullahi Adamu, George Akume, Godswill Akpabio and Aliyu Wamakko representing Nasarawa, Benue, Akwa Ibom and Sokoto States respectively.

Also accompanying the President are: the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of FCT, Muhammad Bello; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma; Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu; Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, and Minister of State, Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

Others are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar; and the Group Managing Director, NNPC, Maikanti Baru.

But while querying the entourage in a statement on Friday, Comrade Frank said the trip could not have been in the interest of Nigeria but that of the ruling APC on how to rig the 2019 general elections and perfect plans to effect change of leadership in the Senate.

Frank challenged the Presidency to tell Nigerians why only APC Governors, Senators, Ministers and others were selected for the trip if not "to perfect their plot evil against Nigeria's democracy?”

"Nigerians will recall that during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, no such trip was made without the presence of opposition Governors and Lawmakers.

"Although, President Buhari too has traveled to foreign trips with opposition governors and Senators before now but the make up of the entourage for the current trip casts doubt on the true intent of selecting these points men of Buhari for the FOCAC Summit in China.

"Our sources around the Presidency have also confirmed to us that the plot to perfect the plot to rig the 2019 elections and the removal of Bukola Saraki as Senate President is responsible for the exclusion of opposition elements from the current trip.

"In an official business trip to China where business opportunities abound, one will expect a tolerant government to travel along with foremost Nigerian businessmen and women and not party cronies or leaders of the APC’s cabal in the Senate like Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Godswill Apabio who are anti-Saraki's leadership.

“The very composition of the entourage which include heads of elite security agencies, and top brass of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) - the money pot of the country - betrays the hidden agenda of the Presidency on this trip.”

Frank, however called on Nigerians, right groups and leaders of thought to speak up on how the current administration is using the country’s resources to fund private political meetings disguised as ‘official trip’ on how to subvert the rule of law, remove Saraki and undermine the nation’s democracy in a far away country.

Signed:
Comrade Timi Frank

"I can remain in Senate for the rest of my life if I want" Ike Ekweremadu

Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate President of Nigeria has said he could remain in the senate for the rest of his life if he so wishes, saying he's always in touch with his constituents, and could easily win elections.

“I’m in total touch with my people and that is why if I want to remain in senate forever, I will” Ekweremadu told young aspirants on the platform of PDP.

“PDP is not a home for urban politicians, for young people. If you want to participate in politics, you have to pay your dues and the best place to pay your dues is your local community. That is where we all started from. Don’t think you will go to the House of Reps or House of Assembly by running around Wadada Plaza, it’s not going to work” he said.

UK Queen's counsel: "Nigeria cannot be trusted with looted funds"

The United Kingdom has given a statement on her position about returning looted funds.

Phillip Hackett gave his reservations by saying Nigeria cannot be trusted with its money, he further discloses that’s what underpins it poor asset return rate and it has to be addressed.

Philip Hackett, a Queen’s Counsel, said this is the reservations of the UK, when it comes to returning looted funds to Nigeria.

Speaking on the theme: ‘Institutionalising the War against Corruption – New Approaches to Assets Tracing and Recovery’, at the Annual General Conference of the NBA in Abuja on Wednesday, Hackett said the issues with accounting for the funds also contributed to the UK’s hesitation on returning looted funds.

He said: “How much money has been recovered? Practically nothing. Nigeria has recovered so little.

“The UK’s position is that Nigeria cannot be trusted with its money. That’s what underpins it (poor asset return rate), and it has to be addressed.”

The session was chaired by Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, Executive Secretary, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), and featured the presence of Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the EFCC, who was represented by Chile Okoroma, EFCC’s Director of Legal and Prosecution Department

In his address, Magu lamented “poor record keeping system”, noting that it is difficult to estimate how much has been looted from the country.

He said: “It is difficult to estimate what Nigeria has lost because we have poor record keeping system.

“Lawyers have been involved in money laundering; laundering of proceeds of crime. When they were asked to register with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SVUML) for regulation, they went to court. NBA said it could regulate itself. But how far has NBA gone in regulating itself? That is the issue.

“I think the NBA Disciplinary Committee should be up and doing. I get embarrassed when NBA descends heavily on lawyers who are not considered to be significant, but they turn a blind eye to what big-time counsels are doing.

“I think they have to do their work without looking at faces, no matter whose ox is gored. That is the only way that we can have confidence and respect for the disciplinary committee.”

Photos of Trump meeting with Kenyatta and his remarks

It was yesterday, president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta met with Donald Trump at the White House in Washington D.C to discuss issues affecting his country.

President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta were officially received by their hosts President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump when they arrived at the White House.

While speaking with journalists briefly before moving inside the presidential hall, Trump welcomed his Kenya counterpart and opined that his visit would strengthen their relationship.

On his own, Uhuru thanked both the United States number one and first lady, noting that his visitation would strengthen their Trade and investment ties.

Speaking further Kenyatta said that his major reason for coming was to seek for the United States assistance in fighting terrorism and improving their economy.

Their meeting is coming after the Financial Times reported that Donald Trump referred to his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari as “lifeless” shortly after a meeting between the two leaders on April 30.

That meeting ended with Trump saying he never wanted to meet someone as lifeless as Buhari again, Financial Times reported citing three persons familiar with the matter.

Mixed reaction trailing over Donald Trump statement about Buhari

Recently the president of the United States  of America gave a brusque statement  concerning the health of Nigeria president after a meeting with him.

Considering the forth coming election in 2019, the statement poses a negative effects to the Presidential campaign for second term.

This statement which is consider rather derogatory  by Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has described America’s Donald Trump remarks on President Muhammadu Buhari as disrespectful.

President Donald Trump’s hate speech notwithstanding, the organisation said on Monday that President Muhammadu Buhari is fit and capable to run for the 2019 elections and oversee the affairs of the country for four more years.

The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) made this assertion in response to the report by the Financial Times that the American President had made disrespectful comments imputing ill health on President Buhari.

The group’s Chairman, Mr. Niyi Akinsiju noted that this was not the first time the US President was heard to make such derogatory remarks at World leaders, and thus President Buhari would not be distracted by such.

“We are aware that President Trump’s disrespect for World Leaders is not new; his comments on Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, calling him ‘meek and mild’; his reference to Germany’s Leader, Angela Merkel’s actions as ‘insane’, or his outlandish Tweet at the UK’s Theresa May, and more recently, the alleged remarks he made after meeting President Buhari.”

“It is indeed not the first time President Trump would be heard to lower the standards of respect for his colleagues on the World Stage.

“We are not surprised, we know that this age-long character of the US President would not change anytime soon. But it is important that we put it on record that President Buhari remains fit and sprightly, even for the next decade.”

“We recall that during President Buhari’s visit to Trump in the White House, the US President commended the successes that the Buhari administration had recorded especially in the fight against insurgency and the war on corruption.

The US President was full of admiration for Nigeria’s President during the visit, thus such outlandish remarks as reported by the Financial Times are not just to be taken with a pinch of salt but are untrue in themselves.”

The group noted that President Buhari has continued to show fitness and capacity to run the country post-2019.

It went further to highlight that though the President’s 800 metre walk, where he acknowledged the cheers of members of his constituency, was not intended at showboating, it was an unscripted reference point that further proves a fit and lively President.

The group noted that President Buhari would not be distracted by this report, whether it was indeed said or in fact unsaid, but would in his character continue to remain focused on his mandate to deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people.

Ex CIA agent claims to be responsible for Bob Marley's death

It was a shocking revelation as a 79-year-old Bill Oxley, ex-agent of America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has confessed that he killed Bob Marley, the reggae legend.

Marley tragically died at the age 36-years-old, following a four-year battle with cancer.

The story of cancer may seem untrue as startling claims have emerged from a deathbed confession made by an ex-CIA officer, where he admitted to the killing.

According to a report by the Daily Star,Oxley is alleged to have claimed the murder of Marley among 17 other assassinations for the American government between 1974 and 1985, at a time when he said the CIA “was a law unto itself.”

Oxley, who reportedly worked as an operative for the CIA for 29 years, is alleged to have said he was often used as a hitman on targets deemed to “represent a threat to the interests of the United States.”

In a purported interview shared widely online, he admitted having no problem with proceeding with the Bob Marley assassination because

“I was a patriot, I believed in the CIA, and I didn’t question the motivation of the agency – I’ve always understood that sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good.”

According to the conspiracy theory, Oxley used faked press credentials to gain access to Bob Marley at his Blue Mountain retreat; introducing himself as a famous photographer working for the New York Times, and gave Bob Marley a gift.

“I gave him a pair of Converse All Stars. Size 10. When he tried on the right shoe, he screamed out ‘OUUUCH.‘

“That was it. His life was over right there and then. The nail in the shoe was tainted with cancer viruses and bacteria. If it pierced his skin, which it did, it was goodnight nurse.”

“There had been a series of high-profile assassinations of counter-culture figures in the United States in the late sixties, early seventies. By the time Bob Marley’s time came around, we thought subtlety was the order of the day. No more bullets and splattered brains.”

Mr. Oxley says he kept close contact with Marley during the final years of his life, ensuring the medical advice he received in Paris, London and the United States “would hasten his demise rather than cure him.”

“The last time I saw Bob before he died he had removed the dreadlocks, and his weight was dropping like a stone,” he says.

“He was very withdrawn, unbelievably small. He was shrinking in front of us. The cancer had done it’s job.”

Although widely dismissed as fiction, the account does tally with findings by UK scientists in 2014, who discovered the mysterious acral melanomas – the rare type of skin cancer that caused reggae musician’s demise – was in fact not caused by the sun.

Bob Marley’s soon Ziggy has previously implied his Father was killed, saying in a 2013 interview about the death: “I don’t know what to believe … there are a lot of theories.”

"I'm proud of my players" coach Gernot Rohr

Despite the poor performance of the Nigerian team during the just concluded FIFA world cup hosted in Russia, Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has declared support for his players who campaigned at the Russia 2018 World Cup for putting up what he called “a very encouraging performance.”

Speaking at the complex of the Nigeria Football Federation in Lagos yesterday, the German tactician said, “I am proud of my players who went to the World Cup. They only lacked experience. We had a very young team that was very good and did very well. They were the least ranked team but put up a good fighting spirit. “It is disheartening that we did not get past the group stage. The future is bright.” Rohr had some reservations for the Video Assistant Referee(VAR), which he said had different interpretations for different teams. “VAR recognised handball for France but refused to award us handball in a similar situation,” he said, adding quickly, “but I do not like talking about referees.” Another factor Rohr counted worked against the Super Eagles in Russia was lack of support. “Nigerian supporters were outnumbered and the general atmosphere was not good enough for concentration. It was an experience worthwhile.”

"My mom walked me down the aisle "Lady who avoid kneeling down for her husband during their wedding

It was yesterday a lady started an a trend on Twitter leading to an argument after she revealed that she and her husband decided that she will not kneel on her traditional marriage day

Now, she has revealed more and not everyone is happy.

The new bride who is by name Eniola, said the decision to kneel was reached by her and her husband. Her husband's family also didn't have a problem with it. She especially had the support of her sister-in-law not to kneel. But Twitter users, mostly men, took up the case and bashed her for not respecting the culture.
Eniola has now revealed that, not only did she not kneel at her trad, she was also not given away by her father during her church wedding, but by her mother.

One Twitter user wrote;
"Lol if you have a problem with kneeling on your traditional wedding , you should pretty much be outraged about the idea of your dad walking you down the aisle . Cos it has a much more “ misogynistic “ meaning."

And the new bride replied;
"My mom walked me down the aisle. ?? I know someone who walked herself down the aisle because she said she was giving herself to her partner.
